Supported Platforms and Browsers
Celtra's creatives run on two most recent versions of the following browsers and environments:
Phone, Tablet: iOS Safari and Android (native, Chrome),
Desktop: Safari, Chrome, and Firefox
Fallback behaviour
Unsupported platforms (Windows Phone) will display the fully functional creative as an inline banner with the height of the placement dynamically adjusted to the current height of the viewport.
Follow these best practices to ensure that your Interscroller ad performs as optimally as possible:
The trafficking tag should be placed inline, and "below the fold" — it should be placed so that users need to scroll down through content to reach the ad.
existing inline 300px 250px inventory sizes are usually best suited for delivery
Tag should be trafficked into IAB-friendly iframes or directly into the page’s HTML
Only friendly iframe wrapping is allowed.
Hostile iframe & SafeFrame wrapping is not supported.
The page must contain a mobile-optimized viewport tag.
Please ensure the publishing site is optimized for mobile devices by using the correct <meta name="viewport"> directive:
<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1,maximum-scale=1,user-scalable=no"/>
The format assumes that the window containing the page is scrollable.
This is verifiable by typing window.scrollBy(0, 100) into the browser’s javascript console.
The tag must not be nested in any containers which cause its content to become scrollable (elements with overflow: scroll and elements with overflow: auto whose content exceeds their explicit size).
The tag must not inherit any CSS Floats.
Parent elements of the placement must not have and 2D or 3D transforms rules applied in the stylesheet.
When certifying new publishing partners for custom format (Interscroller or Miniscroller) for programmatic delivery, please follow the steps below:
Exchange partner or Celtra Support provides the publisher with test tags or provides steps for generating tags.
Publishing partner will provide a test page where the tags have been trafficked.
Celtra Support will ‘spot check’ the test page directly on a mobile device to confirm expected rendering & behaviour.
Exchange partner will provide Celtra Support with a test page for final rendering verification.
If the ad unit renders and functions as expected, the domain is then certified for delivery.
If there are problems or inconsistencies with how the unit renders or behaves, look for the following possible causes:
Are there CSS Transforms or Float rules applied to ancestor elements of the placement?
Is the unit being served to a SafeFrame, Hostile iFrame or non-friendly iFrame?
Is the page itself not mobile optimized?
Are there fixed headers and footers that are obstructing the unit?
Is the inventory above the fold? These units must be served below the fold.
If none of these issues appears, but there are still problems with the rendering of the unit, the partner should forward the issue to Celtra Support for further review.
