Learn more about how to ensure your page is certified to display skin formats.
Updated: March 14th, 2026
Overview
Before trafficking skins formats out from Celtra, pages displaying the format must be pre-configured by Celtra. This certification process is performed per account to ensure websites support your specific display requirements.
Certification may take up to 5 business days per page.
In order for an inventory to be eligible for certification, you must have the rights to operate it.
Skin Availability
The format is only supported where the certification of the pages has been completed.

Certify Pages
To have your desktop skin inventory certified, follow the steps below. The process is intentionally lightweight; most of the required information is collected upfront to avoid delays.
Please include the following information in your request:
Trafficking setup: Will the desktop skin be served via an ad network or via a publisher-direct setup?
Ad suppression: How does the publisher ensure that ads normally shown in the skin area (typically sidebars) are not requested or displayed while the skin is active?
Inventory list: A list of websites to certify with intended visual behavior of the skin (either via a test website with an existing skin implementation or a clear description of the desired behavior)
Celtra does not hide or disable other ads on the page. The only possible exception is the placement used to request the skin (commonly a billboard or similar entry placement).
Celtra aims not to modify the look and feel of publisher websites as part of certification. In rare cases, when those cannot be avoided, any required website changes must be explicitly approved by the publisher.
2. Eligibility & Requirements Review
Celtra will review the request and confirm:
The pages to be certified
For fixed-size (non-responsive) skins, the existing content width the skin must fit around
The intended visual behavior of the skin (via a test site or short description)
3. Test Tag Setup
Celtra provides a test skin tag to be trafficked on the agreed test pages (one for each website) using one of the following:
1x1 placement
Off-screen placement
In-page ad placement
The tag must be trafficked as inline HTML or within an IAB-friendly iframe.
4. Finalization
Celtra completes the final configuration for desktop skin formats on the account. The pages are now certified and ready for trafficking desktop skin formats.
Changes to Design and Layout
Once a Skins format is live on a page, there’s a chance that changes to the page design may break the experience. It’s important to ensure that Skins will continue working after any layout/page design change is made.
Clients must communicate any changes ahead of time to Celtra and include a link to a test site that shows what the creative looks like on the new page design. Celtra will then recertify the pages, which may take up to 3 business days per page from receipt of all information requested. Since the new configuration may break any live page, Celtra also synchronizes the changes on both sides so that both changes become active at the same time.
If a client fails to notify Celtra of any changes ahead of time, it may take up to 5 business days per page from receipt of all information requested for them to be recertified.
